Dr Scott is one of the most refreshing speakers in the chiropractic profession by applying thoughtful rationale for the union of chiropractic’s rich history and philosophy to the emerging sciences and need for an approach center on health rather than disease. He has been a keynote speaker for foreign government’s health symposiums around the work including China, South Korea, Ghana Ministry of Health and the Global Forum on Health Promotion in Geneva.
As the Associate Vice President for Institutional Initiatives, he supports the University’s global initiatives in China, Kenya and Costa Rica while serving as the director of Life University’s Octagon. Active as the Vice President of the Alliance for Health Promotion, an NGO in Geneva, Switzerland, he additionally provides leadership for the Alliance’s US Office of Representation located at Life University.
Dr Scott served as the as the fifth president of Life University from 2017 -2025, during which time Dr. Scott championed a significant commitment to enhancing the University’s academic offerings, campus culture and physical facilities, while placing emphasis on expanding research infrastructure and supporting the rich diversity of the campus community.
A passionate and articulate advocate for the University’s mission, Dr. Scott continues to build the recognition and legacy of Life University within the greater Atlanta area, global community and the classroom as the AVP for Institutional Initiatives.
Dr. Scott holds a Ph.D. in Exercise Science from the University of Minnesota, a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University and was the only president of a chiropractic college that also holds a Diplomate of Chiropractic Philosophical Standards. His master’s degrees include a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology and a Master of Education in Educational Administration from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto. He attended the University of Guelph to earn his Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics.
